Rules of the Competition

 

1.    The competition is open to "companies" comprising graduate trainees or persons of equivalent status. (See under "Who may participate")

 

2.      A company may consist of no more than five individuals, one of whom should be designated as Chairman with responsibility for liaison with the Administrator. No individual participant may be a member of more than one company.

 

3.   The competition will take place between October 2008 and March 2009.  It will consist of two initial rounds played weekly by fax or mail. For those involved in the later stages, there will be a semi-final played by fax on 28 February and a "live" final at the University of East Anglia on 14 March.

 

4.      Participants will be issued with complete documentation. Before the start of the Game there will be a practice decision in October 2008 to familiarise  participants with the concepts of the Game.

 

5.    Before each round of the Game the Administrator will issue a notice about conditions pertaining to the round.

 

6.      The responsibility for ensuring that decision forms arrive by the due date and time rests with companies. If decisions are not received by the due time, decisions will be made by the Administrator or his nominee on behalf of the company.

 

7.     The Administrator acts on behalf of the sponsors.  His decision is final in all matters relating to the competition.
